Soo Bahk Do
is a Korean classical martial art whose history dates back many
centuries. Its purpose is to develop every aspect of the self in
order to create a mature person who totally integrates his or her
intellect, body, emotions, and spirit.
The school,
which is fully accredited by the U.S. Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan
Federation, Inc., became a nonprofit corporation in 2003 as a way to
give back to the community it serves. It has been granted federal
tax-exempt status as a 501 (c)(3) organization and donations to the
school are tax deductible to the fullest extent of law.
Andy Tyzzer,
executive director of West Elk Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan and chairman
of its Board of Directors, holds the rank of 4th Dan and
is designated as Sa Bom or Master Instructor by the
Korean Soo Bahk Do Association, Moo Duk Kwan.
